MA.R.C.H. Mediation Program is a collaborative effort between the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Family Support and M.A.R.C.H., Inc. With assistance from a grant designed to promote programs to strengthen parental relationships by promoting visitation and access with both parents from the Federal Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Child Support Enforcement, the Missouri Division of Family Support has been able to obtain additional general revenue from the State of Missouri to fund M.A.R.C.H. in the current service area.
M.A.R.C.H. is built upon the philosophy held by the State of Missouri and the Division of Family Support, that by promoting and strengthening relationships between parents who no longer or have never resided in the same residence, through mediation, parents can learn to restructure their relationships, improve their ability to communicate about their children, and learn to work in concert to promote the well being of their children. The Division of Family Support understands that parents who are engaged in the lives of their children are more likely to work for the benefit and well being of their children, even if they are not the “custodial” parent. M.A.R.C.H. believes that when parents learn to redirect their energies and attention to the problems facing children through mediation, they win and most importantly, children win. Because M.A.R.C.H. is Mediation Achieving Results for Children.
M.A.R.C.H., Inc., which operates the mediation program is a Missouri “not for profit” corporation, with 501(c)(3) status, which does accept voluntary contributions from corporate sponsors and private individuals to help promote mediation education and public awareness. If you are interested in making a tax deductible contribution please contact Larry V. Swall, Executive Director, M.A.R.C.H., at (800) 595-9750.
