"Kaelyn Guinty graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2018. During her time in Law School she worked with the Midwest Innocence Project as well as in the schools Child and Family Services Clinic. During her law school time she began to work in Criminal Defense and Family Law with Mark M. Ferguson, Attorney at Law as a Law Clerk. Upon passing the bar, Kaelyn was hired on as an associate attorney with them. Kaelyn is admitted to practice law in both Missouri and Kansas. Kaelyn is also a Guardian Ad Litem, which allows her to investigate what solutions would be in the best interest of a child, typically seen in divorce or parental rights and responsibilities cases. In her work, Kaelyn continues to specialize in criminal law as well as focusing on family law."

Prior to becoming an attorney, Kristy Borders was a private investigator and process server.  She has also worked in education, insurance, and security.  Having been married and divorced three times, she is no stranger to the realistic effects of marriage and divorce.  She also has extensive knowledge of child custody, child support, and other family law issues. Her prior experiences help ensure that she is able to help clients understand and explore their options during mediation.  Kristy is passionate about making sure that people make informed and voluntary decisions regarding their life.  Kristy also works as a Guardian ad Litem and fully understands the need to place the best interest of the child at the forefront of her work.

Lindsay Mathews is a domestic attorney with a passion for walking people through difficult conversations in order to arrive at creative solutions. In her humble opinion, while there is a time and place for litigation, mediation is where the real magic happens. Lindsay loves chasing her family around town and dreams of one day being able to drink a cup of coffee before it gets cold.

"Megan Alfano is a Missouri native. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a B.A. in Criminology and University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. Megan began practicing family law while in law school at UMKC. Megan began her career in Kansas City practicing family and probate law. She later worked at a non-profit organization assisting low-income families with orders of protection, custody and divorce matters, adoptions, probate and guardianships.  

Since opening Alfano Law Firm, Megan has focused on probate, estate planning, elder law and various family law matters. 

Megan is a Missouri Supreme Court approved Mediator and a Guardian Ad Litem that advocates for the best interests of children. Megan also serves as a Missouri State Special Public Defender. When Megan is not working to serve the community, you can find her hanging out with her pups!"
