What is Mediation?
- Mediation is a confidential, down to earth way to resolve problems with the help of an impartial third party.
- The mediator works with parents to seek practical solutions that are customized to fit their circumstances.
- The process helps parents gain understanding of new ways to work with one another regarding their children.

Curious About Community-Based Supervised Visitation?
Community-Based Supervised Visitation provides families with the opportunity to spend parenting time together in public, family-friendly community settings while a visit supervisor observes the interaction. Visits may occur at locations such as parks, libraries, museums, restaurants, or other appropriate public venues.

This service is designed for families who require a low level of supervision and where there are no significant safety concerns requiring a secure or controlled environment. Supervisors observe and may document interactions but do not provide physical security, intervention services, transportation, or enforcement of court orders.

Families may utilize up to 2 two-hour supervised visits per week for a period of up to three (3) months, subject to availability and program eligibility.

Because visits take place in public settings, this model offers a natural environment that promotes healthy parent-child interaction while maintaining appropriate oversight.

Important Limitations:
-
Community-Based Supervised Visitation is a low-security service.
-
Supervisors are not law enforcement officers or security personnel.
-
Visits are not appropriate for cases involving a history of violence, credible threats, abduction risk, or other circumstances requiring enhanced security.
-
M.A.R.C.H. reserves the right to decline, suspend, or discontinue services if a case presents risks that exceed the scope of this community-based model.
