This Kansas Approved Mediation Practicum is a supervised, hands-on training experience where participants apply mediation theory and skills in real or simulated cases under the guidance of a Kansas Approved Mentor Mediator. It bridges classroom learning with practical application, allowing trainees to practice managing conflict dynamics, facilitating structured dialogue, maintaining neutrality, and guiding parties toward agreement while receiving individualized feedback. This $600 practicum includes three opportunities for skills assessment and reflective debriefing to strengthen competency, confidence, and ethical decision-making before independently mediating cases.
