"Unconscious Bias: Creating A More Conscious Process"

SUMMARY
Show me the bias!  Being cognitively aware of unconscious and conscious bias is imperative for today’s practice.  Bias intelligence develops diversity and inclusion competence in firms and organizations.  This course educates on relevant definitions, industry trends, ethical responsibility, competency and awareness. Participants will know how to effectively mitigate bias, understand and appreciate diversity, and leverage skills to develop inclusion competency for a more progressive practice.
 
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Learn the difference between unconscious and conscious bias
  • Identify what influences initial thoughts and beliefs in traditional systems
  • Develop ways to effectively implement inclusion power tools to mitigate bias in your practice

  • Become self-aware of thought origination and how thoughts affect decisions
  • Demonstrate behaviors that show respect for diverse thoughts and communication styles
