Mediation Ethics & AI

We all know that the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is on the rise. Hundreds of AI programs and apps are available to make life easier and tasks quicker. It is no surprise, then, that there are dozens of AI apps aimed at helping the tasks of mediators easier and quicker. However, AI is not a panacea and its programs must be used with knowledge and care. This program focuses on the benefits and risks of using AI in mediation, and discusses the mediation guidelines for using Ai in mediation published by the International Bar Association, the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) and the Model Rules of Professional Conduct for lawyers, including Rules 1.1, 1.6, 1,7., 1.9, and 5.1.
